== Local sharing == To share files ''locally in the Canon building'' you can use Windows networking or Samba and map a drive or mount <pre>\\CLARA\COMMON</pre> network share. Create your own directory there and put your files in it. It is important to understand that all users have all rights to this shared area so that everyone can modify, move, or delete '''any''' file (not only his/her own). Thus, '''do not rely''' on the files on CLARA, always keep an extra copy of everything you put there and you do not want to loose; of course, do not use CLARA as a backup server! == Remote sharing == To share files with the ''outside world'', you can * use Windows networking or Samba and map a drive or connect to <pre>\\CLARA\PUBLIC</pre> if you are in the Canon building, or (if you are not directly connected to the Canon LAN network) * point your browser ** to http://clara.uochb.cas.cz/public/ to download files from clara ** to http://clara.uochb.cas.cz/public/@UPLOADS/ to upload files to clara (note that the size of uploaded file is limited to 64 MB). Please remember that all users have all rights to files there - the same warning as above applies to this shared folder too.
