Mailing lists
To distribute news and information among all those who can be interested in, there were created several mailing-list covering the most frequent topics in the theoretical chemistry departments. The mailing lists are hosted on the marge server (see list information page).

Usually, users are subscribed by the administrator when they get an account on some local server and/or cluster and unsubscribed when the accounts are deleted.
The lists are configured as private - only the members of the list are allowed to send messages to them. To send a message to the list (and thus have it distributed to all list subscribers) send an e-mail to
listname@marge.uochb.cas.cz
address. Some lists are even more restricted; the server will then request an approval from the list administrator and process a message distributiond only when it receives it. The sender will be notified about the whole process by the informational e-mail messages.
