To connect a computer to the local network in the Canon building it is necessary to register it first with the administrators (see Contacts). To speed up the registration, please get ready to provide the following information before you ask for the registration:

  • Computer type. Is your computer desktop or notebook?
  • Connection type. Do you want to connect using wired or wireless network?
  • Network card (MAC) address. Ask for help if you do not know how to get it. Note that every card has its own MAC address so for wired and wireless connections you need addresses of both cards.
  • Operating system. Linux, Windows, MAC OS, ... ?
